Guides -> Other -> Aviansies Guide

By Jack

Whether or not you know what aviansies are, they are an amazing way of moneymaking and quite a good way of getting fast range xp. I suppose I should start with the Jack-recommended levels to be semi- to very effective. I am not going to include mage because frankly, nobody uses mage at aviansies. I will be quite generous because I have seen these levels do well at Godwars.

Minimum levels-
Range: 50+ with pots or if you want a really short trip.
Defence: 55+
Hitpoints: 55+
Also, you will need to be able to use protect from range for when they start hitting you.

Reccomended levels-
(And again these are the levels needed to be really effective, with skillers and such they just use prayer so I'm not including that. For all purposes, this guide is for no prayer aviansie killing.)

Range: 70+
Defence: 65+
Hitpoints: 65+
Once again, the ability to Protect from Range might be advantageous but I no longer need prayer.

REMINDER: You NEED 60 strength or agility to even get to the Godwars entrance.

Anything above those levels is great. So if you have basicaly the minimum levels, maybe a little less, you will just have to exercise caution because the damage can come quickly and in large numbers.

So now we have the levels down, what should we bring?
First of all, Godwars is just what it says. Followers of Armadyl, Zamorak, Bandos, and Saradomin were once frozen but are now thawing out and resuming their epic fight. All the monsters are aggresive, and in order to stay alive long enough to get to the aviansies, you'll need to gain the favor of all of these monsters. How do you do that? You equip an item that represents the god. So since this guide represents only ranging aviansies, I will only cover items that can go with Ava's accumulator/attractor and that give the appropriate bonuses, also, I will try to give the most cost-effective "outfit". So for anything less than 70 range, here is what I suggest(Screenshot coming soon:

Blue/Red d'hide coif
Adamant/Rune c'bow
Zamorak robe bottom
Monk robe top
Climbing boots
Granite Shield
Armadyl Pendant
Ring of Life
Any gloves
750-1500 Broad-tipped bolts>Mithril bolts

For those of us with 70+ range:

Saradomin coif
Black D'hide body
Zamorak chaps
Ring of Life
Climbing boots
(Barrows) Gloves(RFD)
Armadyl Pendant
Granite shield
750-1500 Broad-tipped bolts>Mithril bolts

Warning: this will cost quite a lot so just be ready for that.
Now you have your gear, you need to bring items. For <70 range, the inventory should be:
16 shark
9 Prayer potions
1 Fire staff
20-30 Bones to Peaches tablets
1 one-click teleport

For 70+ range:

25 Shark
1 Prayer potion
1 Fire staff
(optional: replace 1 Shark with a dose or 2 of Prayer potion for emergencies)

REMINDER:
1.If you can't get into the Warriors' guild, then in the <70 inventory, replace the 1-click teleport with a Games necklace, and in the 70+ inventory, replace a shark with the necklace.
2. If you've never been here before, then leave a spot in your inventory open for a rope to get down the entrance. Also, when you get to the opening, you'll have to talk to the knight and he gives you an item so be prepared to drop something.

So now we're ready! First step is to get a games necklace and teleport to the Burthrope Game Rooms. Then, if you can access it, run over to the Warriors' guild and swap the Games necklace out for that extra shark. Remember, you have to be able to use climbing boots, and this guide was written using the secret passage past Death Plateau, not Trollheim teleport or passage through Death Plateau. So we go through Tenzing's hut, and follow the path north. The first chance we get, go left and then the next right. Keep going and we'll end up in Dad's arena.

You'll have to have beaten him to go through. We exit through the north gate then follow the north east path then enter this cave.

You'll end up in a U-shaped cave. Go through the other side and you'll be on the outside of a big circle. Follow the path north and as soon as you see the npc dot on the minimap, turn on Protect Range. Then when you get in this area, turn off prayer.

Don't stay too long, because this snowy area drains all your stats. So push the rock or squeeze through the gap, then go north to the big hold in the ground. Right before the knight are several wolves who do high damge so turn on Protect Melee for a minute until you get by them. Talk to the knight and get the letter, then drop it and pick up whatever you dropped to open up the space. Then use the rope on the post, and climb down.

Great! Now- the Armadyl area is the southwest chamber, but we'll only be killing the ones outside it. Think about the Godwars dungeon as a big circle, and we'll stay in the bottom left quadrant. So run south from the rope and you'll start to see those "big brown birds". You might want to keep to the level-69's and 71's for now, til you get used to it. Now for their drops:
What to pick up:
Swordfish(5)

Clue Scroll(lvl-3)
Adamantite bar(noted, 4)

Water rune(30)
Air rune(15)
Grimy ranarr
Blood rune(11)
Nature rune(9)
Rune dagger(p+)
Runite limbs
Note:
1. Once you have Nature runes, ue them and the fire staff to alch the Rune dagger and Runite limbs.
2. By the time you get to actually killing the Aviansies, you should have had to already eat 1-2 shark. This opens up inventory space for drops. Don't start picking up the Air and Water runes til later in the trip unless you have 5-6 open spaces.
What I normally do is once I have ~5 Shark left, I start to pick up the bones of the Aviansies I've killed. This ensures that I'll fill my inventory with bones once my Sharks run out. Then I break a B2P tablet and my food is replenished. Then once you have 5 peaches left, repeat.

Hope this guides helps you become a sucessful Aviansie slaughterer! Good luck!
